Happy 30th anniversary to this legendary game not only has changed and impacted everyone forever. On this day the shareware released. It expanded on the idea what the original DOOM could not do in 1996 and making it way more a advance game at its time. All done with real trickery from Ken Silvermen’s build engine.

Also sparked one of the coolest video game characters of all time. It all started with a voice that capitalized on pop culture and some funny serious one liners to laugh at.
Thanks to the one and only voice actor legend Jon St John. He made his voice known first time in this game and for future games of the franchise.
You hear Duke taunt or just cracking a joke or two at these aliens when he is fighting. That is what us fans like about Duke and his character. You got to thank the whole original Duke Nukem 3D developer team for that and making the game what it is.

Even us fans played singleplayer with mods and expansions made the experience great. Also us players played few rounds of Dukematch or Co-Op with few friends at a lan party, or online with something like broadband and dial-up on platforms like Total Entertainment Network, Kali and Kahn back then.
The only real thing that keeps the legacy and king alive these days. It has always been the entire Duke Nukem fan community and other incredible outstanding people that create great content in the whole, or just enjoying playing the game in general.

Today, let us make this day special for this game and its character by celebrating it with all love and respect it deserves.
To end this post and article off just want to say thanks to all the Duke Nukem communities and fans hanging in strong for many years and making Duke great. I hope and many others will be celebrating Duke for many years to come.
We hope someday there is a market for Duke Nukem again. Until then we will have to just wait.
As always thank you everyone for reading, and Happy 30th Anniversary to Duke Nukem 3D! God bless the king!
